Golden State Warriors coach Steve Kerr told Donald Trump "night, night" as he endorsed Kamala Harris for president in the upcoming elections. Kerr spoke at the Democratic National Convention on Monday to formally make his choice on the next POTUS. He has always been critical of Trump, so unsurprisingly, he supported Harris' candidacy.

The four-time championship-winning NBA coach was not afraid to speak his mind during his speech, understanding that there would be a lot of hate coming toward him. Nevertheless, he was firm in his stance and was adamant that Harris would put Trump to sleep this November — referencing Stephen Curry's famous celebration in the process.

"After the results are tallied that night (Nov. 5), we can, in the words of the great Steph Curry, we can tell Donald Trump 'night, night,'" Kerr said.

Since society is divided on almost all issues, it's understandable that Kerr's endorsement of Harris and his trolling of Trump received mixed reactions online.

"Cheesy as hell," a fan claimed.
"This was everything! Omg Kerr is so good. Love him!!!!" one fan commented.
"Biggest blemish in Jordan's career is that he only punched this guy once," another fan opined.

The presidential race between Harris and Trump is seemingly close based on the most recent polls, as per Politico. However, it's unclear how much influence Kerr's endorsement will have on Harris' chances of making history and becoming the first woman to become the president of the United States.

"NIGHT NIGHT DONNY" a fan remarked.
"Jordan pissed right now and wishes he didn’t pass Kerr the ball," another fan wrote.

Steve Kerr is not expected to continue coaching Team USA despite leading the country to an Olympic gold medal in Paris last month. There was a lot of pressure on him after the United States finished fourth in the 2023 FIBA World Cup. As such, he returned with a loaded roster and got the job done in France.

However, a lot of fans were critical of his coaching; especially with Jayson Tatum barely getting any minutes during the tournament. NBA insider Marc Stein reported that Kerr's replacement will likely be either Erik Spoelstra of the Miami Heat or Tyronn Lue of the LA Clippers.

Both Spoelstra and Lue served as assistant coaches under Kerr in the past two tournaments. It's unclear when a new head coach will be announced, but USA basketball has plenty of time considering the FIBA World Cup is in 2027, and the next Olympics in Los Angeles is still four years away.
