Chicago Bulls Rumors: LeBron Whisperer offers crucial update on Zach LaVine trade inquiry

A healthy Zach LaVine and his lethal scoring prowess haven't done much to up his trade stocks. According to NBA insider Brian Windhorst, there was no chatter surrounding the Chicago Bulls superstar as he continues to dish out solid performances for the side so far. The Windy City has managed to string up key wins despite being labeled a mid-side, largely due to LaVine and Nikola Vucevic's good showing.

However, Windhorst believed there was nothing substantial on LaVine's trade moves ahead of the deadline. Speaking on his 'The Hoop Collective' podcast, he offered a crucial update on the wing's trade inquiry.

"He's having an excellent year. We know that he's been on the trade block for a year now, at least. Yet, I hear nothing about LaVine on the trade market and I don't think it's because the Bulls aren't interested in trading him."

After LaVine's health, it's his hefty contract that has worked against him with front offices not keen on dishing out massive moolah. Lavine is set to rake in $43 million this season, and a whopping $45.6 million during his 2025-26 edition. The contract also includes a $48.9 million player option for the season after.

Zach LaVine has looked at his All-Start self and has been consistent, averaging 22.1 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 4.2 assists per contest shooting 50.6 percent from the field and 43.2 percent from beyond the arc. The Bulls are currently 10-15 to begin the season.

Chandler Parsons believes Zach LaVine is the answer to making LA Lakers legitimate title contenders

Earlier, former NBA stars Chandler Parsons and Lou Williams spoke of the Zach LaVine trade market and also the team, he has been perpetually linked to — the LA Lakers. Parsons believed the move to bag LaVine would work brilliantly for the Purple and Gold.

"I do like them making a move though, I like a Zach LaVine... they need an explosive wing scorer. The more shooting they get the better they are. It opens up the whole floor for LeBron and Anthony Davis."

Parsons added that the Lakers may have to part with key names in Austin Reaves, rookie Dalton Knecht, and also two streaky stars in D'Angelo Russell, and Rui Hachimura. LA is currently eighth in the West with a 13-11 record and will need some firepower to support their two key stars. Only time will tell if they make a beeline for the wing closer to the deadline.
