Chris Paul makes his feelings clear on Victor Wembanyama's 'giving' nature

On Tuesday, Chris Paul made his feelings clear about Victor Wembanyama's humble and giving nature. The 12-time NBA All-Star attended a press conference in Paris before his faceoff against the Indiana Pacers.

During the conference, Paul gave the reporters insights on the little Paris trip Wembanayama arranged for his teammates.

"He's very giving as far as like making sure that we experience everything that we can while we're here," he said.

"He just wants us to be comfortable, you know the bus ride here, we were riding here to practice and Vic was just talking about how beautiful it was. Some of these people hear me say this all this time but he is wise beyond his years. He is very smart, he knows the history. We were talking about when the Louvre was built."

The San Antonio Spurs will play two regular-season games against the Indiana Pacers at the Accor Arena in Paris. The contests will take place overseas as part of the NBA Paris contests. Victor Wembanyama being a native of the country saw this as an opportunity to help his teammates explore the city.

The former first-overall pick is having a great run this season. He has adapted to the NBA basketball style and has started to make his mark in the league. Wemby is averaging 24.4 points, 10.8 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game on 47.3% shooting, including 35.4% from the 3-point line.

Chris Paul has been one of the leading names in discussion for the best point guard in league history. The 12-time NBA All-Star has proved himself as a master ring general with a high game IQ.

When he joined the Spurs, it was clear Paul wasn't there to carry the squad himself. He was there to form one of the best partnerships in the NBA right now. CP3 and Victor Wembanyama have been excellent for their team this season.

Earlier this week, Victor Wembanyama talked with The Athletic and showed gratitude towards Paul and another teammate for making the team better.

"I have progressed in knowing myself and my teammates," Wembanyama said. "This is reflected in many areas, there are stats that are improving, others that are maintaining. We have progressed a lot thanks to (Harrison Barnes) and (Chris Paul). We are getting closer and closer to the recipe for winning."

The SA Spurs have a 19-22 record and hold the 12th seed in the Western Conference standings.
