Jada's post reflected the devastation caused by the wildfires in Los Angeles, which have affected over 180,000 people, including the Paul family. The wildfire, which began on Jan. 9, has spread rapidly, burning over 29,053 acres and destroying more than 2,000 homes.
Chris Paul, who played for the Los Angeles Clippers from 2011 to 2017, has been an integral part of the Los Angeles community. His family still resides in the city, with Jada and their children having lived there for years. Chris Paul Jr. even represents Campbell High in West Hollywood.
This wildfire is the worst the city has endured in its history, with an estimated $52 million worth of damage incurred during this tumultuous period.
Chris Paul's family evacuates home due to the Wildfire
The five uncontained fires that sparked one of the worst natural disasters in Los Angeles history have devastated lives, homes and property. Spreading from the Hollywood Hills to the Pacific Palisades, the wildfire has displaced thousands, including Chris Paul's family.
According to reports, Jada and her two children evacuated their home on Wednesday and moved to a hotel in a safer part of Los Angeles as the fire continues to ravage California. Chris Paul spoke about his family's well-being and how he has been affected by this disaster following his team's loss in Milwaukee on Wednesday:
"It’s hard, really hard, I didn’t sleep last night. For me, I’m more excited to get back to my family. I haven’t seen them throughout all this. I definitely want to get there," Paul expressed his concern.
The Spurs landed in Los Angeles on Thursday as they were scheduled to play the Lakers on Saturday. However, the fixture has since been postponed due to the fires. Chris Paul will have time to reunite with his family before his team's next game.
