San Antonio Spurs guard Chris Paul shared an inspiring message to his son, Chris Paul II, to motivate him in his basketball journey. The younger Paul made his debut with the Campbell Hall Vikings on Nov. 22, and the team has started the season with a perfect 3-0 record.

Posting highlights of his son's performance, the 20-year NBA veteran shared a mantra he often uses for himself. He captioned his Instagram post:

“KEEP STACKING DAYS.”

In the video accompanying the post, Chris Paul discussed how shorter players, like himself, should approach the game. He emphasized the importance of increasing training and dedication, promising that hard work would eventually pay off.

“My son is small, right? He's small, just like I was. And I've talked to him about the training and how hard it is, and this, that, and the third. But he's finally starting to see a little bit of change, right, in his game or whatever, in his ability,” Paul said.
“And all I keep telling him is, just keep stacking days. Just keep stacking days. As long as you keep stacking days, I promise you, I promise you, you will see the change.”

Chris Paul is one of the NBA’s shortest players

Recently, the NBA has seen an increase in "unicorns" — tall players who excel in more than just post play. One of the most notable examples is Paul’s teammate, 7-foot-3 Victor Wembanyama.

Wembanyama is a foot and three inches taller than Paul, who stands at just 6 feet.

Chris Paul shares the title of the second shortest player with seven others: Mike Conley, Kyle Lowry, Jose Alvarado, Fred VanVleet, Jordan McLaughlin, Davion Mitchell and Aaron Holiday.

The shortest player in the league is Yuki Kawamura of the Memphis Grizzlies.

During media day, the height difference between Paul and Wembanyama was a major topic of conversation.

Paul has shifted his focus from contending for championships to embracing his role as a veteran. At media day, he expressed excitement about playing alongside Wembanyama.

“I played against him this season and I tell you, there’s probably no player in the league that everybody in the league talks about after the game like him,” Paul said (per LoneStarLive).
“Me and Harrison (Barnes) were on our flight yesterday just talking about how cool it’s going to be at this point in our careers to get a chance to appreciate him day in and day out.”

This season, Chris Paul is averaging 10.6 points, 8.2 assists and 3.6 rebounds over 19 games.
