Chris Paul surprised at 6-foot son Chris Paul II's hops as high school freshman makes one handed jam

Chris Paul took to social media to share a video of his son Chris Paul II as the high school freshman had a nice little surprise for his father on Saturday. Attempting a one-handed dunk, the Campbell Hall freshman showed his incredible hops and his dad seemed pleased with his progress.

The 12-time All-Star was surprised at his son's athletic growth and took to X (formerly Twitter) to showcase his son's hops.

"Landed in Sac to this video from Lil Chris," he wrote.

In the video, Chris Paul II can be seen running from behind the three-point arch as he jumps to catch an alley-oop from his teammate and then jams it down the basket. The freshman is attending school in Los Angeles, California.

On the other hand, the Spurs guard is in Sacramento as his team prepares to take on the Sacramento Kings on Sunday. The 39-year-old has forged great chemistry with Victor Wembanyama and is looking to help the Spurs reach their first playoffs in years.

Currently, the team from San Antonio is the last play-in team and will look to get back to winning ways after suffering a loss against the Lakers on Wednesday.

Chris Paul's high school and college career

Born in North Carolina, Chris Paul attended school and college in his home state. CP3 went to West Forsyth High School in Clemmons, North Carolina, and then to Wake Forest University.

In his senior season in High school, Paul was a national sensation and had a game in which he scored 61 points. He averaged 30.9 points, 5.9 rebounds, 9.5 assists, and 6.0 steals per game which earned him a spot on the McDonald's All-American team.

After his successful high school stint, CP3 committed to Wake Forest University where he became a huge success. Averaging 14.8 points, 5.9 assists, and 2.7 steals per game as a freshman, Paul broke several school records while qualifying for the NCAA tournament. He won the Freshman of the Year award in the Atlantic Coast Conference that year.

After two years in college, CP3 declared for the NBA draft and has played for multiple teams since then. In 2013, the Wake Forest Demon Deacons retired the guard's jersey to honor his achievements.
