Atlanta Hawks rookie forward Zaccharie Risacher struggled offensively during Tuesday's Emirates NBA Cup East Group C showdown against the Boston Celtics. One rough first-quarter sequence in particular left NBA fans trolling the No. 1 draft pick.
Risacher finished with eight points, nine rebounds and three steals. However, he shot just 4-for-13 (30.8%), missing all four of his 3-point attempts.
The French prospect's offensive woes began early in the first quarter, as in the span of 10 seconds, he missed four consecutive field-goal attempts. All four came in the paint, including two tip-shot attempts, as Risacher repeatedly grabbed offensive rebounds after each miss.

Following the possession, fans on X/Twitter began comparing Risacher to Chicago Sky star forward Angel Reese. Reese led the WNBA in rebounding during her rookie season (13.1 rebounds per game). However, she shot just 39.1%, with many accusing her of intentionally missing shots around the rim to pad her rebounding totals.
"Congratulations, Atlanta. You have an Angel Reese," @BallsDeepInYm3 said.
"ANGEL REESE IS THAT YOU!?!?!?" @OLLYPOSTANIN2 wrote.
"Looks like Angel Reese's stats, LMAO," @Dukeeeeee_ said.
"The Angel Reese special," @UnRayao wrote.
Meanwhile, others quipped about Risacher throwing off bettors' parlays, as his over/under rebounding total was set at 3.5, per DraftKings Sportsbook.
"When you bet the under on rebounds," @jpinto_xxii said.
"I guess we got him for offensive rebounds to cash," @ItzLahdi_1UP wrote.
Atlanta Hawks upset Boston Celtics despite Zaccharie Risacher's offensive struggles
While Zaccharie Risacher's shooting woes sparked fan mockery, Atlanta still upset the defending champions 117-116 in Boston.
With star point guard Trae Young (Achilles) sidelined, third-year guard Dyson Daniels stepped up, recording a career-high 28 points, seven assists and six steals.
However, reserve center Onyeka Okongwu was the game's hero. He tipped in a go-ahead basket to give the Hawks a 117-116 lead with 6.1 seconds remaining, which they never relinquished.
With the victory, Atlanta improved to 1-0 in NBA Cup group play and 5-7 overall. The squad next hosts the struggling Washington Wizards (2-7) on Friday, which should mark a prime opportunity for Risacher to get back on track.
