When reports of the damage caused by the wildfires in LA came out, Vanessa Bryant urgently called for help and support. She went on Instagram a week ago to share locations of evacuation centers and links where anyone can send donations.
The wife of the late Kobe Bryant posted a photo that said:
“Pray for California.”
On Friday, Bryant went the extra mile by giving families and children apparel and sneakers to help them cope with the tragedy.

Vanessa Bryant went on Instagram to give an update about the event:
“Today, @MambaMambacitaSports took our first step in supporting children and families that had to evacuate their homes due to the LA fires. Over 8,000 pieces of apparel and sneakers were donated to families in need for the LA Strong Essentials Distribution today. Thank you @Dodgers for hosting 💙🤍
“There’s a long road to recovery ahead of us, so stay tuned for our ongoing efforts to help LA rebuild.”
Kobe Bryant was a big LA Dodgers fan, so it was very fitting that the MLB champs hosted the event.
The LA Lakers legend’s Mamba & Mambacita Sports Foundation has been giving back to the community for years. It wasn’t surprising that behind the Bryants, the foundation did its part in helping build back the community that had lost so much in the fire.
Kobe Bryant’s wife, Vanessa Bryant, reveals their old home was destroyed by the Palisades fire
Ground zero of the wildfires that ravaged Los Angeles reportedly started in the Palisades, the place where Kobe Bryant and Vanessa Bryant used to live. Vanessa and her surviving family left in 2020 after selling the mansion for $2 million.
When news of the devastation caused by the Palisades Fire broke, Vanessa Bryant posted on Instagram:
“Kob and I used to live in the Palisades when we first got married (sadly, that home was on the street where the initial fire started 💔). We have so many beautiful memories from living in L.A. There are no words to make all the loss and devastation any better. My heart and prayers go out to everyone in LA, who are affected by the fires.”
The late LA Lakers icon’s wife promised to help the affected families via the Mamba & Mambacita Foundation. On Friday, she came through with her promise with help from friends and the LA Dodgers.
