Ahead of the 2024-25 NBA season, the Chicago Bulls have signed Josh Primo to a training camp deal. The surprising news was reported by multiple outlets on Thursday, sparking a slew of reactions from fans who were left confused by the team's decision.

Prior to the 2022-23 season, Primo was waived by the San Antonio Spurs after reports emerged indicating that he allegedly exposed himself to the Spurs' sports psychologist on a number of occasions.

The situation led to the staff member filing a lawsuit against Primo and the Spurs, with an NBA investigation concluding that the guard did in fact expose himself to the female staff member a number of times.

Given that, many NBA fans and Chicago Bulls fans were left stunned by the news that Arturas Karnisovas and the team's front office decided to sign Primo to an Exhibit 10 contract, which will see him play for the Windy City Bulls while rehabbing a lower-body injury.

Looking at Josh Primo's career stats so far, where does he fit in with the Chicago Bulls heading into the 2024-25 season?

After being drafted with the 12th pick in the 2021 NBA Draft, Josh Primo had an impressive rookie season with the San Antonio Spurs, showing flashes of brilliance throughout 50 games with the team during the 2021-22 season.

While averaging 19.3 minutes per game, Primo averaged 5.8 points, 2.3 rebounds, and 1.6 assists per game on 37.4% from the field. While he wasn't named to an All-Rookie team by the league, there was plenty of optimism surrounding his future with the team.

Then, just four games into the 2022-23 season, Primo was waived by the Spurs after indecent exposure allegations came out against him. After serving a four-game suspension from the league, he then played two games with the LA Clippers last season, averaging just 1.0 points and .5 rebounds per game over 5.1 mpg.

Now, Josh Primo will have a chance to compete for a spot on the Chicago Bulls' regular season roster, however, given the team's current depth chart, it seems highly unlikely that his exhibit 10 contract will be converted to a full contract.

The team currently has a slew of guards signed to their roster in Josh Giddey, Coby White, Lonzo Ball, Ayo Dosunmu, Jevon Carter, and Zach LaVine. While LaVine is expected to play the small forward position given the number of guards on the roster, the other five players mentioned previously will be competing for playing time.

Given that, it's unclear whether Josh Primo will make the final roster.
