Days after Boston Celtics star wing Jaylen Brown's X/Twitter account was reportedly hacked, Atlanta Hawks star point guard Trae Young unfollowed him. Young's decision evoked various NBA fan reactions, ranging from support to accusations of jealousy.
On Tuesday, Brown made headlines after his X account published a series of bizarre tweets. That includes one where Brown seemingly took a shot at his co-star Jayson Tatum, saying, "F**k Tatum," after being prompted to do so by a fan.
However, most of the other suspicious tweets involved Brown's account promoting cryptocurrency, leaving many suspecting the reigning NBA Finals MVP was hacked.

Two days later, NBA Alerts on X noted that Young unfollowed Brown on the social media platform.
Naturally, many fans attributed Young's decision to Brown getting hacked, suggesting he was exhausted by the latter's strange X activity.
"Trae [is] tired of Brown pushing crypto," @Vengeancewood said.
"Trae had enough of the hacker," @TatumOwnsLeBum said.
Meanwhile, others endorsed Young's choice for different reasons, taking shots at Brown's personality.
"He's annoying as hell, I don’t blame Trae," @GuangdongsTiger said.
"YESSIR, TRAE, F**K HIM," @00ctOS__ said.
However, a few fans accused Young of jealousy, with one mentioning Brown's girlfriend, Kysre Gondrezick.
"Jealous because Jaylen is way better," @roaring_reigns said.
"Another mofo who couldn't bag Kysre, SMH," @Nyamtaishir1998 said.

Trae Young congratulated Jaylen Brown on social media months before unfollowing him
While it's unclear exactly why Trae Young unfollowed Jaylen Brown on X, there doesn't appear to be any bad blood between the two.
In June, Brown won NBA Finals MVP after his Celtics dispatched the Dallas Mavericks in five games to secure their record-setting 18th championship. Shortly after, he posted a carousel of photos from the series on Instagram, captioning them, "I'm just here for the vibes."
Among the top commenters on Brown's post was Young, who congratulated the three-time All-Star for winning his first championship.
"Really hooped. Congrats, Killa," Young said.
Young has also been outspoken on social media when necessary. He recently appeared to slam ESPN's Tim MacMahon's report that Atlanta tried to trade him but "there wasn’t a real market" for him. On Tuesday, Young posted an Instagram story seemingly implying the reporter fabricated the story.
However, it doesn't appear Brown has done anything to offend Young over the past few months since the latter's congratulatory message. So, the Hawks star unfollowing Brown on X was likely related to his suspected hacking.
