Steph Curry, who is currently playing in his 16th NBA season, on Tuesday candidly spoke about his retirement ahead of the Golden State Warriors' highly anticipated Christmas Day matchup against LeBron James and the Lakers. In an interview with ESPN's Malika Andrews, Curry candidly acknowledged that he is nearing the end of his illustrious NBA career.
"More than I’ve probably had before,” Curry said on thinking about retirement. "I think it’s okay to accept and acknowledge that the end is near at whatever point only because it allows you to enjoy what’s happening right now.
"I think the more you talk about it, the more you acknowledge it, it levels up just the sense of urgency of the moment now."

Steph Curry in 16th season
Steph Curry, a key figure in the Golden State Warriors' four NBA championships over the past decade, is currently in his 16th season in the league and aiming for a fifth title. However, the two-time league MVP is not performing at his usual elite standards this season.
The former NBA Finals MVP is averaging 21.8 points per game on 43.5% shooting, including 40.3% from beyond the arc, his lowest scoring average since the 2011-12 season. He is also contributing 5.0 rebounds, 6.6 assists and 1.2 steals per game.
Following a 10-point performance in the Warriors' 111-105 loss to the Indiana Pacers on Monday, Curry acknowledged his struggles and vowed to improve, confidently stating that he will bounce back.
