LeBron James caused a stir on social media on Wednesday after sharing his terrifying encounter with a scorpion upon his arrival in Phoenix, Arizona. The Lakers superstar revealed that after stepping out of the shower in his hotel room, he nearly had to fend off a scorpion, sparking widespread reactions online.
"[A scorpion] tried to really get me when I got out of the [shower]! Luckily I was walking with my head down and saw him creeping! Welcome to Arizona," LeBron wrote on his Instagram story, along with a video of the scorpion in his room.
After the four-time NBA champion shared his unsettling experience, fans were buzzing and social media was flooded with hilarious reactions from netizens. One X user jokingly remarked that had Golden State Warriors superstar Steph Curry faced a similar situation, he would have called his wife Ayesha Curry for help.

LeBron James in Phoenix to face the Suns
LeBron James and the Lakers arrived in Phoenix, Arizona, to face the Kevin Durant-led Phoenix Suns in an NBA preseason matchup set for Thursday. This will mark the second meeting between the Lakers and Suns during the ongoing preseason.
The two teams previously clashed on Oct. 6, where the Lakers suffered a 118-114 defeat at Acrisure Arena in Palm Desert, California. In his first preseason appearance of the campaign, LeBron delivered an impressive all-around performance.
In just over 16 minutes of play, the four-time NBA MVP scored 19 points on 8-of-12 shooting, including 2-of-3 from beyond the arc. He also contributed five rebounds, four assists, and two blocks, showcasing his usual dominance.
