"Curry with yet another super team😭😭," a fan said, likely somewhat sarcastically.
"Most washed player in the league going to a washed team... makes sense," another fan who isn't high on either Bertans on the Warriors posted on X.
"No more splash bros it’s now the Latvian Laser and Steph," one fan even made a nickname for Curry and Bertans.

Other fans were happy with the reported acquisition of the Warriors.

"If it’s for cheap great move by the Warriors this is someone I expected the Nuggets to grab ngl," a fan said.
"Warriors got a steal 🔥," another fan loved the reported addition of the team.
"Solid pick up; underrated player 💯," one fan liked the acquisition.

With the departure of Klay Thompson during the summer, Bertans could help provide the Warriors with another reliable outside shooter. The forward is a 39% shooter from beyond the arc in his career.

Who have the Warriors acquired over the summer?

Since the start of the offseason, the Warriors have made moves to address the departure of Thompson. The players they acquired, however, aren't considered stars like the five-time All-Star.

Instead, they've added veteran players who they believe can position them as contenders next season. Golden State has signed De'Anthony Melton, Buddy Hield and Kyle Anderson. These three players add veteran depth to the team heading into the 2024-25 NBA season.

Steph Curry assures fans he'll stay with Golden State until his retirement

Golden State secured Steph Curry for another season by signing him to a one-year, $62.6 million contract extension on Thursday. This was refreshing for fans of Golden State. In an interview with The Athletic's Marcus Thompson, the four-time champion shared his intention to stay with the team his whole career.

"I've always said I wanted to play for one team my whole career. So it's good to get (the extension) question out of the way and give complete focus to basketball and to the season," Curry said.

After losing out on Thompson this summer, securing Steph Curry was the organization's priority.
