During his previous stint with the Nets, D'Angelo Russell became an NBA All-Star and averaged 19.0 points, 3.9 rebounds and 6.3 assists across the two seasons. Ahead of his second spell with the team, Russell reportedly expressed excitement in rejoining the Nets.

“It’s a good feeling, honestly, to go back somewhere you’re comfortable, somewhere you kind of know the ins and outs a little bit,” Russell said. “It kind of makes the process a little easier to adjust to. So, I’m just grateful for that.”

Currently in his 10th year in the league, Russell is averaging 12.7 points, 2.7 rebounds and 4.8 assists in the 30 games he's played so far in the season while shooting 42.6% from the field, including 33.3% from beyond the arc.
