D’Angelo Russell’s girlfriend Laura Ivaniukas shared how she and her family enjoy the winter just a week before Christmas day. On Friday, Ivaniukas posted a photo on her Instagram story of her son Riley, who looks amazed seeing the mountains of snow in their village from their windowpane.
Riley rocked a Sesame Street sweater as her mother captured the moment. Ivaniukas captioned the candid photo with one word in her Instagram story on Friday.
“Snow!!!,” she wrote.

D’Angelo Russell continues to be part of Lakers trade rumors
Since last year, D’Angelo Russell’s name has been part of numerous rumored trade packages seen to upgrade the LA Lakers’ roster this season. Russell’s expiring contract is also a significant factor in why he has been a constant trade pawn in different rumors this season.
According to HoopsHype’s Michael Sotto, Russell, along with Gabe Vincent and Rui Hachimura, are most likely the available players if a team tries to cut a deal with the Lakers before the trade deadline.
On the other hand, league insider Jake Fischer put up an interesting package involving the Lakers guard that could boost the team’s frontcourt ceiling or its defensive prowess. Fischer mentioned a potential package of Russell and Jalen Hood-Schifino for the veteran center Jonas Valanciunas or a former Defensive Player of the Year winner Marcus Smart.
"I keep hearing about centers for them, we've talked plenty about the Lakers and the centers market taking shape with Jonas Valančiūnas continuing to be a name linked to there," Fischer said. "Marcus Smart is someone who in theory could fit into that D'Angelo Russell, Jalen Hood-Schifino type of package," he said.
The Lakers have been struggling with a short frontcourt rotation with the injury of backup center Jaxson Hayes. Meanwhile, they have two first-round picks in their back pocket to sweeten the pot for any team interested in a deal.
Russell has been an inconsistent contributor this season, averaging 12.5 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 4.7 assists per game. His scoring average is the lowest ever in his career and a far cry from last season when he averaged 18.0 points per game.
Russell has also lost his spot in the starting lineup, starting only in 10 of the 28 games he played so far this season.
