Steph Curry, Devin Booker, Jayson Tatum and the rest of the men’s USA Basketball team are in Abu Dhabi to prepare for the Paris Olympics. After a training camp and exhibition game against Canada in Las Vegas, the Americans are in the oil-rich country for more tune-ups. With the tournament starting roughly a month away, the gold medal favorites have limited time to get ready for the event.

Despite what is expected to be a busy two-week schedule, the NBA superstars will have some downtime. On Saturday, the trio of Curry, Brooker and Tatum hit the fairways for some rounds of golf.

Fans on X, formerly Twitter, reacted to the three spending time together away from the rest of their Team USA teammates:

“D Book to the Warriors Confirmed lol”

Miami Heat star, Jimmy Butler, who wasn’t selected to play for the Olympics, was dragged into the conversation:

“Tatum owns butler”

@_CelticsNation_ was sure one thing happened:

“Has to be tampering”

One fan couldn’t resist taking a shot at Tatum and Booker:

“Awwwww they having father time with their daddy Steph”

Any of the three superstars switching teams to play with one another after rounds of golf is highly unlikely. The Golden State Warriors are not trading Steph Curry, who still has two years left on his deal. Warriors GM Mike Dunleavy Jr. already said that Curry isn’t going anywhere if the team can help it.

Devin Booker’s four-year, $220.4 million deal, signed in 2022, will kick in next season. He will be only 28 years old and entering his prime years when the contract starts. The Phoenix Suns have made him the franchise cornerstone.

Meanwhile, Jayson Tatum just inked the largest contract in NBA history. The Boston Celtics gave him $313.9 million for five years this offseason.

Steph Curry, Devin Booker and Jayson Tatum wanted to have fun on the links

Fans will read differently into the clip of Steph Curry, Devin Booker and Jayson Tatum playing golf together. Some of the reactions were quite hilarious while others seemed serious and implied something was going on.

Booker had this to say about playing golf with Curry and “JT:”

“Just the peace of mind. Get some time to just disconnect, kick it just like we are now.”

Curry stayed in that vein:

“Just hanging out with my friends, golfing buddies. We got D-Book, JT out here having a great time in Abu Dhabi. It’s a great, windy day after having [Team USA] practice.”

Tatum didn’t say anything but it’s safe to assume he would have had the same answer.

Steph Curry, Devin Booker and Jayson Tatum may return on the greens considering the reasons they gave for playing golf.
