Dallas Mavericks' Media Day for 2024-25 NBA Season: Date, time and other important details revealed

The Dallas Mavericks are scheduled to have their Media Day for the 2024-25 NBA season on Monday, Sept. 30. It officially starts the new campaign as players are expected to report for training camp which opens the following day. The Mavs are coming off an NBA Finals appearance last season, losing to the Boston Celtics in five games.

According to The Dallas Morning News' Mike Curtis, the Mavericks will hold their Media Day at 11:00 a.m. ET. General Manager Nico Harrison, head coach Jason Kidd and all Mavs players like Luka Doncic, Kyrie Irving and Klay Thompson are expected to be there to speak to reporters.

In addition to speaking to the media, players will get their pictures taken for promotional materials throughout the season. They are also expected to interact with fans in attendance.

Dallas Mavericks' training camp and preseason schedule

After Media Day, the official training camp begins on Oct. 1 as the players and coaches prepare to try and make back-to-back Finals appearances. Dallas will have six days of training camp before the start of preseason. The Mavs have four exhibition games on their schedule.

Their first preseason game will be on Oct. 7 against the Memphis Grizzlies at American Airlines Center. The Mavs then welcome the Utah Jazz on Oct. 10 before flying to Intuit Dome in Los Angeles to face the LA Clippers four days later.

Dallas' final preseason game is at home on Oct. 17 against the Milwaukee Bucks. They will then have a full week to make their final preparations ahead of the start of the 2024-25 regular season. They will host Victor Wembanyama and the San Antonio Spurs on Oct. 24.


Dallas Mavericks' 2024-25 roster

The Dallas Mavericks have 21 players heading into training camp, which will be trimmed down to 15 players plus three players under two-way deals. The Mavericks made some moves in the offseason, acquiring players like Quentin Grimes and Klay Thompson.

Dallas also signed free agents such as Najui Marshall, Jazian Gortman, Emanuel Miller, Spencer Dinwiddie, Jamarion Sharp and Kessler Edwards. However, they also lost players like Derrick Jones Jr., Alex Fudge and Greg Brown III.
