LA took over the game with its 3-point shooting. The Clippers were on fire from deep. They hit 15-of-30 from downtown through the first three quarters, destroying Dallas.
On the flip side, the Mavericks struggled in shooting. They went a measly 8-of-27 from 3-point range after the end of the third quarter.
Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving did their best to keep Dallas in the game but were inefficient in their attacks. The two were a combined 19-of-39 midway through the fourth quarter. They were the only two Mavericks in double figures in scoring at the same period as the Clippers held a large lead.

The game shifted when the Clippers outscored the Mavs 22-8 in the second quarter. The poor shooting performance from Dallas in the second quarter ended any hopes of a Game 1 win on the road.
The Clippers won the game with a balanced attack. George struggled from 3-point range. However, he had 18 points when the Clippers cooled their jets up 21 points with six minutes to go in the fourth to contribute to the cause.

James Harden was 5-of-9 from 3-point range at the same point and had 23 points leading the Clips with their comfortable lead. He added eight assists. Ivica Zubac had a double-double with 20 points and 14 rebounds. Five Clippers scored in double figures including Russell Westbrook off the bench.
