A trip to Las Vegas was at stake in Tuesday's Dallas Mavericks vs OKC Thunder game, a quarterfinal clash in the 2024 Emirates NBA Cup, with Shai Gilgeous-Alexander's squad securing a 118-104 win to move on.

This game was a rematch of last season's Western Conference semifinals, where Dallas won the series 4-2. The Mavericks also triumphed in the first meeting between the teams this season.

Both teams entered the game on hot streaks — the Mavericks with seven consecutive wins, and the Thunder having won seven of their last eight games. However, Oklahoma City's top-ranked defense led them to victory, limiting Luka Doncic to his second-lowest scoring performance of the season.
