Dalton Knecht Stats Tonight: Lakers rookie delivers impactful performance in win against Hawks (Jan. 3)

The LA Lakers registered a 119-102 win over the Atlanta Hawks on the second night of a back-to-back at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on Friday. Rookie Dalton Knecht didn't see any action in the first quarter but joined the Lakers' lineup to start the second.

The rookie put on an impressive performance, making a significant impact on both ends of the court. On offense, he showcased confidence with his shooting, while on defense, he displayed relentless aggression and hustle, holding his ground against the Hawks' offensive players.

Dalton Knecht finished with 13 points on 4 of 7 shooting, including 3 of 4 from beyond the arc. He also recorded four rebounds, one assist and one steal. The Lakers forward made turned the ball over once, made both his free throws and finished with a plus/minus of +6 in 15 minutes.

Despite recent struggles with his shooting, Knecht wasted no time making an impact. The rookie sank his first two attempts from beyond the arc, both corner 3-pointers, showcasing his confidence. In between those shots, the former Tennessee standout calmly drained two free throws, delivering an immediate offensive spark off the bench.

The Lakers rookie displayed no signs of slowing down, confidently draining a 25-foot shot from the top of the key, his third consecutive 3-pointer of the game.

Despite sitting out the first quarter, Knecht made a strong impact in the second, scoring 11 points on a perfect 3-for-3 shooting and sinking both of his free throws. He also grabbed two rebounds during his 9:37 minutes on the court.

Knecht's hot streak cooled off in the third quarter as he missed both of his attempts from inside the arc. However, the rookie remained aggressive on both ends of the floor, contributing with a rebound, an assist and a steal during the penultimate quarter of the game.

Knecht took just two shots in the final period. He missed his 3-point attempt but made a basket from inside the arc.
