Dalton Knecht's hot streak to start his rookie season with the LA Lakers ended quickly after an eventful November. Amid a shooting slump since December, Knecht continues to fall out of favor in JJ Redick's rotation. He lost his starting spot and is no longer one of the most used players off the bench.
Knecht continued to lose minutes after playing only six minutes in Thursday's game against the Sacramento Kings. The No. 17 pick tallied two points on 1 of 2 shots, scoring off a layup. His miss came from the 3-point range. Knecht was a +/- -6 amid a 62-58 half for the Lakers.
The second half wasn't any different for the rookie who played only four minutes, failing to add anything significant to his box score other than a rebound. He missed three shots, including one from beyond the arc.
JJ Redick offered Dalton Knecht 10:11 minutes in which he tallied two points and a rebound on 1 of 4 shots, including 0-for-2 from deep. He was a box +/- -4 in a 113-100 win for the Lakers. Knecht nearly tied his season-low for minutes. He played nine against the Pistons in November.
