The race for the No. 1 pick is heating up in the NFL, and Damian Lillard is chiming in on his Las Vegas Raiders. On Sunday, Las Vegas took down the New Orleans Saints on the road 25-10, falling out of contention for the No. 1 pick in the 2025 draft despite a dire need at the quarterback position.

As the end of the regular season approaches next week, sometimes the best thing a team eliminated from playoff contention is to lose to improve their draft pick.

On Sunday, following the Raiders' win, Damian Lillard posted a frustrated tweet regarding his team's unexpected win.

"So the Raiders really doin this right now?" Lillard questioned.

With the win, the Raiders (4-13) fell to No. 8 in the 2025 NFL draft order after many expected them to pick in the top five of the draft. More importantly, Las Vegas may have fallen out of contention for Cam Ward and Shedeur Sanders, the 2025 class' two top quarterbacks.

The Raiders were among the favorites to land Sanders, but their draft situation becomes much more complicated as they enter the offseason searching for a quarterback.

Damian Lillard shines despite loss to Bulls

Damian Lillard and the Milwaukee Bucks did what the Raiders couldn't, suffering a 116-111 loss to the Chicago Bulls in the absence of Giannis Antetokounmpo. Despite the loss, Lillard shined with a historic performance.

Lillard notched a game-high 29 points on 8-of-19 shooting, dishing out 11 assists and grabbing six rebounds in the double-double effort. The Bucks guard finished without a turnover, becoming the first player in team history to record 25 points and 10 assists without a turnover.

Milwaukee (16-14) suffering its third loss in its last five games after an impressive 16-game stretch in which the Bucks totaled 13 wins.

Damian Lillard and the Bucks will be back in action on Tuesday night, making the final stop of their two-game road trip in Indiana to take on the Pacers. Antetokounmpo is listed as a game-time decision entering Tuesday's matchup as Milwaukee looks to right the ship.
