Lakers fans were buzzing after former head coach Darvin Ham was seen taking a phone call on the sidelines Tuesday. A video circulating on X (formerly Twitter) captured Milwaukee Bucks assistant coach Ham speaking on the phone ahead of the team’s NBA Cup Final against the OKC Thunder.

While the details of the conversation and the identity of the caller remain unknown, Lakers fans seized the moment to speculate and share their unfiltered reactions online.

"DEVELOPING: Sources say Darvin Ham was talking to Rob Pelinka on the phone before the NBA Cup Final. League insiders say Pelinka is interested in a reunion after watching Ham go back to the IST Championship," a fan commented.

"these shit bouta have me laughing for the rest of the season ….IST legend," commented another fan.
"Sources also say the Lakers regret moving on from Taurean Prince and Brook Lopez and are begging the Bucks to trade them back for 10 FRPs," said another user.
"That nig*a hands can’t stay out his pockets," wrote a user.
"Miss you coach," a fan said.

Darvin Ham's flawless record stays intact

The Milwaukee Bucks secured a 97-81 victory over the OKC Thunder to claim the second edition of the NBA Cup. With the win, Bucks assistant coach Darvin Ham maintained his perfect record in the NBA’s in-season tournament, extending his streak to 14 consecutive victories without a single loss.

Last season, Ham guided the Lakers to the inaugural NBA Cup title but was dismissed earlier this year after the Purple and Gold were eliminated in the first round of the playoffs, falling short of a deep postseason run.

The Bucks, however, appear thrilled to have Ham on their coaching staff. Following their NBA Cup triumph, Milwaukee’s social media team seemingly took a playful jab at the Lakers by sharing a post that highlighted Ham’s flawless record in the competition.
