Following a rocky start to the season, De'Aaron Fox and the Sacramento Kings are now going through a coaching change. As analysts and insiders continue to report and speculate on the decision, the All-Star guard has decided to break his silence.
Brown's dismissal comes two months into his third season with the Kings. Before their 13-19 start this year, he'd had great success with the franchise. Brown helped end the Kings' record-long playoff drought and took home Coach of the Year in 2023.
On Monday afternoon, De'Aaron Fox took to X (formerly Twitter) to give his stance on Brown's firing. He re-posted some remarks made by Lou Williams, stating that there were no issues between him and his coach on or off the court.
"There was never any push back about anything. This narrative of us butting heads or me going to management saying anything is bullshit. So you can run with that if you want to."

Fox has been a major talking point for the Kings this season after turning down an extension in the offseason. Now, the former top-five pick will have to navigate his future in Sacramento with an interim coach.
While the Kings have struggled as a whole, Fox is still one of the top two-way guards in the NBA. This season, he is averaging 26.3 points, 5.0 rebounds and 6.3 assists.
Lou Williams attempts to clear the air with De'Aaron Fox
After seeing De'Aaron Fox's post, Lou Williams stepped up and tried to clear the air. The former LA Lakers guard wanted him to know that he isn't spreading narratives and simply speaking on what's been reported thus far.
"I never said you went to management my brother. I spoke on what was already being reported and said. I ain’t created no narratives. That ain’t my place. Nothing more nothing less"
Following his 17-year run in the NBA, Williams has transitioned into a career in broadcasting. The three-time Sixth Man of the Year can be found on FanDuel TV's daily show, Run It Back.
All this back-and-forth started because of what Williams said on Run It Back during Monday's episode. He stated that Fox didn't like being singled out by his coach and that Brown tossed around the idea of moving DeMar DeRozan to the bench.
"I'm hearing there was just some pushback from how De'Aaron Fox was continously being singled out wether it was publicly or behind the scenes," Williams said.
"I was even hearing whispers that there was a situation where he might have asked or suggested that even DeMar DeRozan come off the bench."
There is still a lot of time for the Kings to turn things around. However, climbing the standings won't be easy in the loaded Western Conference.
