Joel Embiid’s injury woes continue as he will reportedly miss Tuesday's matchup with the Denver Nuggets. Missing the game will mean that the Philadelphia 76ers center hasn’t played against them since 2019.
Legion Hoops tweeted that it would be "nearly 2,000 days" since he made an appearance in Denver. It has sparked a frenzy on social media, with a fan jokingly calling him out because he is "scared" of his rival Nikola Jokic.
"Joel Embiid is expected to miss his 8th straight game tonight vs. the Nuggets. It’s been nearly 2,000 DAYS since Embiid has played in Denver," Legion Hoops wrote.

Embiid has reportedly been ruled out due to left knee swelling. In his absence, the Sixers have lost seven of their last eight games and are on a six-game losing streak. They have also dealt with injuries to key players like Paul George, who is listed as questionable against the Nuggets with left groin soreness.
What’s next for Joel Embiid and the Philadelphia 76ers?
Joel Embiid has only played in 13 games this season. The Sixers are 15-26 and 11th in the Eastern Conference.
The team must string together a lot of wins to bolster their postseason hopes. After the Nuggets game, the Sixers will face the Cleveland Cavaliers on Friday and the Chicago Bulls on Saturday, before they take on the LA Lakers on Jan. 28.
