The beef between Drake and DeMar DeRozan might be taking a turn, perhaps heading towards an entertaining end for the NBA fans. After the "Know Yourself" singer's latest comment on the Toronto Raptors possibly retiring his jersey, the former Raptors star had a reply for the rapper.

During the live telecast of the game between the Raptors and the Sacramento Kings, Drake said that if the Raptors retire his jersey, he will take it down.

"If you ever put a DeRozan banner up i'll go up there and pull it down myself.

DeMar DeRozan took to his social media to throw shade at the Canadian rapper. He posted a snippet from the "Friday" movie, from 1995, featuring Ice Cube and Chris Tucker.

The snippet showed Tucker's character saying he had mind control over Deebo, who is a local menace. However, when Deebo shows up, he has nothing to say and gets scared.

The apparent beef between DeMar DeRozan and Drake perhaps started when the NBA player appeared in Kendrick Lamar's "Not Like Us" diss track. The layer to the beef was added with a line in the diss track that said:

"I’m glad DeRoz’ came home, y’all didn’t deserve him neither."

The Raptors retired Vince Carter's jersey before the game. He became the first player in the Raptors history to have his jersey retired.

DeMar DeRozan had a savage reply to Drake's diss after Kings' loss vs Raptors

This was not the first time that DeMar DeRozan had a reply for Drake. In the postgame interview, the former Raptors player had a savage reply when a reporter asked him about the rapper's comments during the live broadcast.

The six-time All-Star trolled the "In My Feelings" singer and said that if ever that happens, he has a long way to climb to take his jersey down.

"Well, he’s going to have a long way to climb to take it down," the Kings player said. "Tell him good luck.”

DeMar DeRozan played nine years with the Toronto Raptors and helped the team re-establish itself after the departure of Vince Carter. DeRozan, with Kyle Lowry, took the Raptors to five consecutive playoffs. Unfortunately, LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers became the biggest hurdle in their success.

In nine years with the Raptors, DeRozan averaged 19.7 points on 44.8% shooting from the field. Of 63 playoff games, he played 51 with the Raptors and averaged 21.9 points per game while shooting 41.0% from the field.

It was after the playoff sweep against LeBron's Cavs in 2018 that DeRozan was traded to the San Antonio Spurs that sent Kawhi Leonard to the Raptors. It was the same year that the Raptors won their first NBA title, defeating the Warriors in the NBA Finals.
