The Denver Nuggets ended their two-game trip to Florida against the Orlando Magic on Sunday night. The Nuggets defeated the Miami Heat 133-113 on Friday, while the Magic were coming off back-to-back blowout losses to the Milwaukee Bucks and Boston Celtics.
Coach Michael Malone used a smaller starting lineup of Jamal Murray, Russell Westbrook, Christian Braun, Michael Porter Jr. and Nikola Jokic. Aaron Gordon, who has been hampered by injuries this season, came off the bench.
Meanwhile, coach Jamahl Mosley continues to adapt his lineup with the unfortunate string of injuries this season. His starting five were Cole Anthony, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Tristan da Silva, Paolo Banchero and Wendell Carter Jr.
After a pretty close first half, the Nuggets dominated the final 24 minutes of the game to earn the 113-110 win. Jokic had another triple-double, dropping 20 points, 14 rebounds and 10 assists plus three steals and three blocks. All their starters scored in double-figures, including Braun, who had 20 points.

On the other hand, Paolo Banchero had a tough game with just 10 points on 17 shots. Wendell Carter Jr. put up 16 points, 14 rebounds and five assists, while Anthony Black had 14 points and five assists off the bench.

The Orlando Magic started the game very competitive despite the disadvantages they faced due to injuries. The Magic built a seven-point lead in the first quarter, but the Denver Nuggets kept themselves calm and didn't let the game get out of hand.
In the second quarter, the Magic started hot and turned a 29-28 lead into a 10-point advantage at the 8:10 mark. But as usual, the Nuggets knew what they had in Nikola Jokic, who paced them for the rest of the period. The visitors took the lead late and entered halftime up 54-52.
Things got out of hand for the Orlando Magic in the third quarter. The deficit was still manageable halfway through the period, but the Denver Nuggets went on a 26-12 run to end the quarter. They were up 93-77 entering the final 12 minutes.
In the fourth quarter, the Nuggets continued to dominate the Magic and the game was essentially over when the visitors were up by 24 points with six minutes left. Orlando put in a valiant effort in the first half, but ran out of gas in the second as they were soundly defeated 113-100
The Denver Nuggets improved to 26-16 for the season and will return home for a two-game stand against the Philadelphia 76ers and Sacramento Kings. On the other hand, the Orlando Magic have now lost three in a row. The Magic still have a winning record of 23-21, but they must get Franz Wagner and Jalen Suggs healthy.
