The Detroit Pistons vs Golden State Warriors preseason matchup was the penultimate game for Sunday night. The Pistons visited the Chase Center looking to win their third game of the preseason, while the Warriors are trying to stay undefeated.

Detroit tried another different lineup, making one change from their previous starting five. Malik Beasley started in place of Tim Hardaway Jr., while Cade Cunningham, Jaden Ivey, Jalen Duren and Tobias Harris remained. The first three are the only players to start all preseason games so far for the Pistons.

Meanwhile, the Warriors also used another starting lineup with Steph Curry (finger) and Draymond Green (rest) ruled out. Brandin Podziemski and De'Anthony Melton get another shot at proving to Steve Kerr that they deserve to start. Jonathan Kuminga and Trayce Jackson-Davis were also back as starters.

The Golden State Warriors started the game slow as the Detroit Pistons tried to take control. However, the Warriors started hitting threes, going 6-for-7 in the period and ending it with a 19-4 run to get a 31-17 lead. The bench players stepped up for Golden State, scoring 17 out of the team's 31 points.

In the second quarter, the Warriors continued their hot shooting and built the lead even more. The Pistons also couldn't buy a basket from beyond the arc, with their bench not doing much. The hosts have a huge 60-41 advantage after the first two quarters.

The two teams went back and forth in the third quarter as the Golden State Warriors maintained their double-digit lead. The Detroit Pistons were unable to get their shots going, especially from beyond the arc again. The Pistons' defense was almost nonexistent as Warriors players were scoring with ease.

It was the same in the fourth quarter, with Pistons coach J.B. Bickerstaff not happy with his players' effort. The Warriors emptied their bench as they remained undefeated in the preseason with a 111-93 win.

The Warriors have two more preseason games left and both will be against the LA Lakers on Oct. 15 and 17. They will begin the regular season on the road at the Moda Center versus the Portland Trail Blazers.

On the other hand, the Detroit Pistons only have one more preseason game remaining on Oct. 16 against the Cleveland Cavaliers. They start the campaign at home, with the Indiana Pacers as their opponents.
