Kevin Durant and Devin Booker had a blast teaming up with LeBron James at the 2024 Paris Olympics. Now, they're cheering on James's son, Bryce, who made an important decision in his young hoops career on Wednesday.
On New Year's Day, Bryce James announced his commitment to the Arizona Wildcats. The announcement has generated significant buzz among netizens, including a pair of prolific scorers from the Phoenix Suns.
"Yessir," Durant commented.

"Club," read Booker's comment, which also contained a books emoji.
Although neither Durant (Texas Longhorns) nor Booker (Kentucky Wildcats) played for Arizona, the Tucson-based university has a rich history of successful alums who played in the NBA. These include three-time All-Star Gilbert Arenas, former Finals MVP Andre Iguodala and Golden State Warriors coach Steve Kerr.
Bryce James joins Dwayne Aristode, a top 25 prospect who hails from the Netherlands, in Arizona's 2025 freshman class. The Wildcats are also said to be targeting Gilbert Arenas' son Alijah Arenas, a 6-foot-6 forward who had a 56-point game at a recent high school tournament.
Kevin Durant heaps praise on 6-foot-10 Rutgers freshman
If there's anyone keeping a close eye on young talent, it's Kevin Durant, who had many nice things to say about a freshman being compared to him.
During a media availability session in late December, KD was asked about Ace Bailey, a 6-foot-10 guard who can score from just about any spot on the floor like the two-time NBA champion. In his response, Durant made it clear that he's keeping tabs on the young man.
"Ace is a pure, pure talent," Durant said. "It’s insane the shots that he can make over multiple people at that length. … Him and his teammate Dylan Harper are playing some great ball. (Rutgers) is one of my favorite teams to watch."
Bailey, who has played 11 games for the Scarlet Knights, is averaging 18.2 points on 47.4% shooting, along with 7.6 rebounds and 1.0 blocks per outing. If he continues to be productive on the scoring end, he might be fortunate enough to play in the NBA before Durant calls it a career.
