"Devin Booker will take it personally" - NBA fans rib Kevin Durant for viral photo with Suni Lee

A photo of Phoenix Suns star Kevin Durant with American Olympic gymnast Sunisa Lee has gone viral after it was posted on the team's social media pages. Fans were quick to share their thoughts after seeing the two athletes pose for a photo together.

Lee recently took a snap with Team USA guard and Durant's Suns teammate, Devin Booker, while at the 2024 Paris Olympics. Fans loved the photo of the two and have started shipping them.

But then, Durant also posed for a photo with the famed gymnast. The Suns star's photo with Lee was posted on social media by the Suns and the NBA.

The Booker-Lee shippers quickly had some things they wanted to say to Durant in the comments section after it was posted. Here are some of them.

"Book not gon be happy w this one 😂," one fan joked.

"Booker will take it personally," another fan said.

"We ship Suni and Booker," one fan proclaimed.

Meanwhile, other fans noticed the obvious height differential between Durant and Lee.

"KD is almost 7' so this height differential expected, funny tho 😄," said one fan.

"*googles how tall is Suni," one fan said.

"she 5ft tall btw," another fan replied.

It's rare for other athletes to be in one event together, which is why both Booker and Durant have made the most of their down time. Booker even hung out with X Games multi-gold winner and famed skater Nyjah Huston.

Three-time Olympic gold winner reacts to Kevin Durant's new scoring record

Team USA recently beat Brazil, 122-87, to advance to the semifinal round. Fans enjoyed the blowout win, as well as the new scoring record set by Kevin Durant. Durant surpassed WNBA legend Lisa Leslie for the most points scored at the Olympics for both men's and women's basketball.

KD now has 489 points overall after the game against Brazil, where he finished with 11 points. He posted a photo of the current roster of the national team on X (formerly Twitter) with an inspiring caption.

"Records are meant to be broken, I’ll hold on to this until another great comes along and passes me up…Lisa Leslie you are the gold standard in basketball, I appreciate your love and support throughout the years..much love to you always…it’s all about the gold baby. Let’s get it fellas," Durant posted.

His former Team USA teammate, Carmelo Anthony, showed love as he was also surpassed by KD back in the 2021 Tokyo Olympics.

"Salute champ @KDTrey5," Melo posted.

The two forwards were teammates twice (2012, 2016) at the Olympics. Both stars performed excellently whenever they represented the US in international play, especially the Olympics.
