Long before Bronny James was playing alongside LeBron James as a member of the LA Lakers, the four-time NBA champ famously took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to praise his son. At the time, James posted about the level of talent on display during an NBA League Pass game he was watching.

To this day, it's remained unclear what teams James was watching at the time of the post in March 2023, when Bronny was still in high school. This week, the NBA Centel account on X, which impersonates the NBA Central account, posted a screenshot showing that LeBron had deleted his post about Bronny from last year.

As it turns out, the future Hall of Famer didn't delete the post, which can still be seen on his page.

The post was just the latest piece of misinformation spread by the NBA Centel account, a parody account that frequently posts fake news, quotes, and screenshots in an attempt to trick fans into engagement.

On Wednesday, the account shared another post announcing that the Lakers waived D'Angelo Russell according to a report from CBS' Chris Whelan. That piece of news, much like the screenshot of LeBron James' deleted post, was also fake.

In the account's bio, the page describes itself as a parody account, that isn't affiliated with NBA Central.

LeBron James' postgame comments about potentially teaming up with Steph Curry go viral after Lakers-Warriors preseason game

This summer, LeBron James and Steph Curry had a chance to join forces in pursuit of a gold medal while playing with Team USA at the 2024 Paris Olympics. While the two had previously played together during many All-Star weekends, the duo's Olympic run reignited talks of them joining forces in the NBA.

There had previously been rumors of the two attempting to unite in the league; however, James' agent, Rich Paul, reportedly poured cold water on any talk of James leaving the Lakers for fear of what another team change could mean for the Akron, Ohio, native's legacy.

Given that both James and Curry are likely to retire before the 2028 Olympics in Paris, it's unclear if we'll ever see the duo on the same team again.

Following a preseason meeting between the two teams, LeBron was asked about the possibility of the two wearing the same jersey again in the future.

"I have no idea," James said.

His brief response has since gone viral, with fans again calling for the two to join forces. Of course, ahead of the 2024-25 season, Steph Curry has also made it clear that he wants to retire as a member of the Golden State Warriors, which could further complicate a potential link-up between the two NBA stars.

With Rich Paul wanting James to stay put, and Steph Curry planning to remain in Golden State, we may never get the chance to see a James-Curry duo again.
