Over the past few years, Tyrese Haliburton has emerged as one of the NBA's top young stars, and his rise to stardom has led to a notable partnership outside of basketball. On Sunday afternoon, reports surfaced that Haliburton has agreed to a sneaker deal with Puma.
While the details of the contract are not yet know, it is expected to be sizable as they plan to make him the face of their basketball division.
After starting his career with the Sacramento Kings, Haliburton truly showcased his talents following a trade to the Indiana Pacers. He has been named an All-Star in each of the past two seasons and recently led the NBA in assists per game (10.9).

Haliburton was also a part of the Team USA squad that won a gold medal in the Paris Olympics, even though he did not get much playing time.
Haliburton is now the latest addition to a growing list of NBA players who have inked shoe deals with Puma. Some of the other top names include LaMelo Ball, Scoot Henderson and Denver Nuggets forward Michael Porter Jr.
Tyrese Haliburton shares heartfelt moment with fan ahead of Indiana Pacers scrimmage
Before they begin their preseason schedule, the Indiana Pacers held an intra-squad scrimmage for the public to attend. While he was going through his warmup routine, Tyrese Haliburton shared a special moment with one lucky fan.
The All-Star guard finished his warmup routine by working on his free-throws. Along with team staff rebounding for him, a child also got the chance to be out on the floor to join in on the action. The kid even got to hit Haliburton with some passes as he went through warmups.
After reaching the Eastern Conference finals last season, Tyrese Haliburton and the Pacers will once again look to be a force in the Eastern Conference. This will be their first full season with Pascal Siakam after they traded for the former champion midway through the year.
Through his first five seasons, Haliburton's managed to steadily increase his production. If the Pacers want to compete in the East this season, they'll need him to follow on that trajectory in 2025.
Aside from leading the charge for the Pacers, Haliburton's latest deal likely means that a signature shoe is on the horizon.
