After the conclusion of the NBA Today show on Monday, Malika Andrews took to X, formerly Twitter, to address the incident and gave credit to the staff and crew for staying cool.
“Definitely a scary moment here in our LA studios. Thank you to our incredible staff and crew who stayed cool throughout! Stay safe, fellow Angelenos,” Andrews tweeted.
Rebecca Lobo also shared her reaction to the incident after the show and praised Malika Andrews for how she handled the situation.
“I was stunned by both the earthquake and how @malika_andrews handled it like a boss. Wow,” Lobo tweeted on X.
Malika Andrews is one of the most popular sports talk show hosts. She has many fans for her skillful interviews since she debuted as a sideline reporter for ESPN in the 2020 "Bubble Tournament".
ESPN made Andrews the host of NBA Today just before the start of the 2021-22 season. She went on to win an Emmy Award for Outstanding Personality/Emerging On-Air Talent after she started hosting the show. Andrews also anchored the 2022 NBA Draft, becoming the first woman to host the event.
