LeBron James gives his take on Christmas Days sports schedule

For many years, Christmas Day has always been a holiday loaded with basketball. However, sports have had more variety this year. The NFL hosted a series of matchups on Netflix to go in hand with the NBA's jam-packed slate.

During the LA Lakers matchup with the Golden State Warriors, LeBron James was asked about there being football on Christmas this year. He gave the NFL their flowers, but it made it clear that only basketball should be on.

"I love the NFL," LeBron said. "But Christmas is our day."

After Anthony Davis exited the matchup early due to injury, LeBron James found himself tasked with leading the charge for the Lakers. He'd do so in a big way, leading them with 31 points to go along with 10 assists. Behind strong performances from LeBron and Austin Reaves, LA was able to walk out with a victory on Christmas Day.

Aside from LeBron, Reaves' outing was the most notable. Not only did he record the game-winning basket, but he finished with a triple-double (26 points, 10 rebounds, 10 assists).

This matchup added a new chapter to the long list of battles between LeBron and Steph Curry in their storied careers. Thanks to a boost from his supporting cast, the Lakers star was able to steal a win from his longtime rival.
