On the latest episode of 'The Draymond Green Show with Baron Davis,' LA Clippers coach Ty Lue comically revealed some naive advice he once received from Kawhi Leonard.
During the podcast, Lue recalled being mad at former Clippers center DeMarcus Cousins and confiding in Kawhi Leonard that he couldn't stand to look at him. Leonard offered Lue this simple advice for the dilemma:
"Just don't look at him."

DeMarcus Cousins had joined the LA Clippers on a 10-day contract for the 2020-21 season. Ty Lue believed that Cousins could contribute to a deep playoff run for the Clippers and supported his continued presence with the team beyond the initial contract.
Cousins ended up playing a total of 16 games with the Clippers that season, averaging 7.8 points, 4.5 rebounds and 1.0 assists while shooting 53.7% from the field. He was eventually traded to the Milwaukee Bucks ahead of the 2021-22 season.
Ty Lue compares Kawhi Leonard's impending return to 2x All-Star's career
Kawhi Leonard is yet to play in the 2024-25 season for the LA Clippers after suffering a knee injury last season. In the same episode of 'The Draymond Green Show with Baron Davis,' Ty Lue compared Leonard to two-time NBA All-Star and co-host of the show, Baron Davis, highlighting the similarity in their attitude.
"I'm very excited," Lue said. "BD (Baron Davis), you were one of the baddest point guards in the league, and people don't get a chance to feel your full career because you got injured. But that doesn't mean you weren't putting in any work. Like you don't wanna be hurt."
"When I know I see him every day grinding every day in the weight room. Grinding on the court every single day. He can't control what he has going on. Like he just can't control it. If he could, he would. He's not a guy that doesn't care. He does care and that's what people don't understand."
Leonard is reportedly aiming to make his season debut on Jan. 4 in a home game against the Atlanta Hawks. Lue had previously told reporters that the two-time NBA champion was stepping up his recovery and taking part in traiing sessions with their G-League affiliate.
The LA Clippers have managed to stay afloat in Leonard's absence with a 19-13 record this season. They are currently fifth in the Western Conference and look forward to their star player's healthy return for the remainder of the season.
