Kyrie Irving shares philosophical message to fans after punching NBA Finals ticket

Kyrie Irving and the Dallas Mavericks emerged victorious on Thursday night against the Minnesota Timberwolves, punching their tickets to the NBA Finals scheduled to take place in June. After the win, Irving shared a warm philosophical message with his fans through his official X account.

"Tribe, Please don’t take anything in Life for granted. Continue to Show gratitude and give LOVE to Yourself/others. GOD is truly the greatest and I know our Ancestors are Proud. We are the generation that will Liberate Humanity. Hélà," Irving tweeted.

Irving and company defeated the Wolves 103-124 in Game 5 of the Western Conference finals to win the series with a record of 4-1. Uncle Drew delivered a great performance as usual, scoring 36 points and collecting four rebounds and five assists. He was one half of the deadly duo alongside the Conference Finals MVP Luka Doncic, who posted a double-double, scoring 36 points, ten rebounds and five assists.

Doncic and Kyrie together posted 72 points for their team, outscoring their opponents massively in the first two quarters to build a huge lead. The 2023-24 NBA Finals will be Kyrie Irving's fourth appearance on the grand stage of the league. He will have the responsibility to guide his teammates, most of whom are stepping foot on the Finals stage for the first time in their careers.

Kyrie Irving expresses his longing after qualifying for the NBA Finals

After the Mavericks won the Western Conference Finals, every player on the Mavs squad celebrated their big win. Later, Kyrie Irving was seen taking the trophy out of the arena, surrounded by the cameramen who were following him on his way out. During his walk, he expressed his gratitude and longing for this honor.

"Thanks for the Finals man! I don't take this moment for granted at all. It took me 7 long years," Irving said.

The Mavericks star's words express his humble nature as a human being. Kyrie was scrutinized by the media for his controversial comments and some people even demanded he retire. However, he kept working hard throughout the tough times and now finally reaps his reward.

Kyrie will face his former team, the Boston Celtics, in the NBA finals. He doesn't have the greatest relationship with the franchise and the fans, especially after he signed with the Brooklyn Nets in July 2019.
