Donovan Mitchell has been superb for the Cleveland Cavaliers this season, averaging 24.2 points, 4.4 rebounds, 4.8 assists and 1.3 steals per game. The Cavaliers own the best record in the NBA but are coming off a 108-103 loss to the Orlando Magic, which snapped their 16-game winning streak.

The Cavs began their five-game road trip on Tuesday, starting at the Intuit Dome against the LA Clippers. They have been the best team in the league record-wise, with some people still doubting if they can be successful in the playoffs.

Coach Kenny Atkinson has the Cavaliers rolling this season, using his starting five of Mitchell, Darius Garland, Max Strus, Evan Mobley and Jarrett Allen. So how did "Spyda" perform versus the Clippers on the road?

In addition to Donovan Mitchell, five more Cleveland Cavaliers players scored in double digits. Max Strus had a team-high 24 points, while Darius Garland, Evan Mobley and DeAndre Hunter each had 17 points. Ty Jerome contributed 10 points, and Jarrett Allen had a quiet game being dominated by Ivica Zubac.

The LA Clippers big man finished with 28 points and 20 rebounds on his 28th birthday. Kawhi Leonard was just simply unstoppable, putting up 33 points, seven rebounds, four assists and four steals. James Harden added 22 points, four rebounds and nine assists.

Cleveland continues their road trip on Wednesday against the Sacramento Kings. They then visit the Phoenix Suns before facing the Utah Jazz in Salt Lake City. They are set to finish the five-game slate on March 25 against the Portland Trail Blazers.

How did Donovan Mitchell perform tonight?

Things looked fantastic for the Cleveland Cavaliers in the first quarter, with Donovan Mitchell taking control early. Mitchell had 10 points in the period as the Cavs earned a 45-37 lead in a high-scoring first 12 minutes. He only scored three points in the second quarter, but the Cavs still had a 73-68 advantage at halftime.

In the third quarter, Mitchell couldn't find his shot, going scoreless as the Clippers mounted a comeback. The hosts regained the lead early in the third quarter and proceeded to dominate the rest of the contest.

"Spyda" added five more points in the fourth quarter, but it was a little too late. The Cavs couldn't make a stop late as Kawhi Leonard put the nail in the coffin with a stepback 3-point shot at the 1:53 mark.
