Houston Rockets star Jalen Green's girlfriend Draya Michele showered love on the guard on Instagram after his joint career-high performance of 42 points on Monday night. The former G League Ignite star was on fire during his team's 120-118 rallying win over the Memphis Grizzlies.

Sharing a four-word reaction, Michele captioned the story with a short message:

"42 points is crazy!!!" she wrote admiring Green's achievement.

Michele's story was a repost of the Rockets' earlier post about Green's 42-point performance:

"🚨 JALEN WITH AN ALL-STAR PERFORMANCE TONIGHT🚨" the post read.

Michele also felt that Green's performance deserved an All-Star selection as she posted the story on Instagram with the link for All-Star voting attached to it. With the All-Star weekend only a month away, Green has been making a huge case for himself as he currently averages 21.0 points per game.

Jalen Green achieves career-high stats as the Rockets retain second place in a close encounter

Jalen Green's huge outing helped the Rockets keep pace with the Oklahoma City Thunder. Currently six games behind the Thunder with a 26-12 record, the win over the Grizzlies meant the Rockets retained the second spot in the Western Conference.

After trailing the Grizzlies by a margin of five points at the start of the fourth, the Rockets outscored them by seven in the final quarter as they earned a tough 120-118 win. Green's layup at the death was enough to seal the deal for the Rockets as Ja Morant's 29 points weren't enough to get his team the victory.

Jalen Green not only equaled his career high of 42 points but had a performance of a lifetime. The guard was on the court for 40 minutes and had a 72.5% field goal percentage. He also amassed a 3-point percentage of 83.3% as he converted five of his six attempts. Apart from 42 points, Green also recorded four assists and three rebounds.
