Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green commented on the controversial debate comparing Team USA 2024 to another Olympic superteam. The Warriors mainstay stated the current USA Men's National Team is stronger than the storied 1992 "Dream Team" that featured Michael Jordan, Larry Bird, Magic Johnson and various other Hall of Fame players.

On his latest The Draymond Green Show episode, which aired on YouTube Sunday morning, Green compared the 2024 team to the 1992 group.

While paying homage to the greatness of the 1992 Dream Team, he gave Team USA 2024 the competitive edge. He said that if they played seven games, the current Olympians would win at least five.

"I'm taking the 2024 team seven days a week," he said. "I think the 2024 team beats the Dream Team 5 out of 7 games. I'll give the Dream Team some respect, they got GOAT's...they got Hall of Famers...we get it." (4:45)

Green mentioned the current roster's ability to overwhelm the 1992 squad. The four-time NBA champion said the game's evolution makes Team USA 2024 the more impressive side.

"I just think the versatility on that team, the star power, the scoring, I don't think the Dream Team can do anything with that. (5:00)
The game is different, the game is better now, and against better talent we see what's happening. Too good, too much star power, and oh, by the way, Steph Curry has not played well...and we're winning by 25-30 points. That's interesting. Very interesting." (6:00)

Green also took several minutes to tout the play of Minnesota Timberwolves guard Anthony Edwards, who has led the team in scoring with 16.6 ppg. He applauded how the veteran stars are supporting the young guard.

"The way Bron, Steph, and KD are embracing him to be that next guy up, and kind of giving him the keys to the team in that sense," he said. "Whenever he's on the floor, it's his show." (2:00)

Team USA to play Brazil in Olympics knockout stage

Team USA cruised through group play at the 2024 Paris Olympics, knocking off every team in dominant fashion and boasting the highest point differential of any team in the tournament (+64).

They'll now face Brazil, who entered the knockout stage after finishing third place in Group B. The Brazilian nationals went 1-2 in group play and advanced thanks to their -7-point differential.

Behind Bruno Caboclo's 33-point, 17-rebound effort, Team Brazil trounced Japan in its last game. On Tuesday, they hope to pull a massive upset against Team USA.
