Green is currently averaging 8.7 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 5.6 assists as the Warriors sit eighth in the Western Conference with an 18-16 record. Green may not have eye-popping numbers, but the forward has been a force for the side on defense making him a vital cog in the team's frontcourt. Draymond Green has made the All-Star weekend four times in his career.

Draymond Green in spotlight after blasting referees for controversial foul call

Draymond Green minced no words when he called out the referees for their officiating during the Warriors vs Grizzlies skirmish. The 121-113 win wasn't without drama as Golden State's prime defender was called for a flagrant foul following his matchup with Memphis center Zach Edey.

In the fourth quarter, Green was slapped with a flagrant foul for “unnecessary contact” while contesting a defensive rebound against the Grizzlies rookie. Speaking to the media postgame, a frustrated Green told reporters his name may have influenced the call.

"No, but it’s Draymond Green, that’s why it’s a flagrant foul,” Green told reporters, per Anthony Slater. “You know, it’s ironic? I said, uh, JK, clean elbow to the head. Boom! I said, wow, that’s a review. I said, if I blow on someone, y’all review it. He’s like, aw! And there you have it. Who’s surprised?"

He further added:

"I got a tech for saying, boom! I say boom every time I make three. I got a tech saying boom. When did they become so above the law that you can’t say boom?”

Green making the All-Star weekend remains to be seen. With ample names in the West staking their claim for a slot, it will be interesting to see how the voting pans out for the 4x NBA All-Star. But for now, he does have his wife doing her bit to ensure he will cut this edition.
