There has been some talk about Mitchell Robinson's future with the New York Knicks. Many have claimed that the center wasn't at the team's media day on Monday, which didn't sit well with Robinson. On Tuesday, the NBA center's IG posted a picture of him on media day as he called out the instigators of the rumor.
Robinson's foot injury from May hasn't fully recovered and will require some time to rehab the recently operated foot. Amid all this, there has been talk that the Knicks center could get traded soon. According to Knicks insider Kris Pursiainen, the organization has started to take calls for a potential trade involving the center.
This was downplayed by head coach Tom Thibodeau, who only talked about Robinson's rehab.

"We’re going to be patient and take our time with it," Thibs said. "I don’t want to put any sort of time frame on it. When he’s ready to go, he’s ready to go."
Throughout all this, there were talks that Robinson wasn't present at the team's media day. The center took the chance to call out those who started the rumor on his Instagram stories.
"But 'I wasn't at media day' dumb**s people" Robinson posted on his IG.
Given that the Knicks recently traded for Karl-Anthony Towns, Robinson's role as a starter might be in jeopardy. Additionally, the defensive center has dealt with various injuries, causing him to miss important games. Last season, the 26-year-old player only played for 31 games.
After playing his 21st game of the season, he missed a significant amount of time due to injury. He returned to the lineup and played 10 games to finish the campaign. In the postseason, however, Robinson missed most of the second round, only playing Game 1 of their series against the Indiana Pacers.
Mitchell Robinson to miss training camp
Due to the foot injury that has not fully healed, Mitchell Robinson didn't travel to Charleston, South Carolina with the team. NBA reporter Ian Begley shared that Robinson remained in New York to continue the rehab of his injured foot.
The organization is targeting a return for December/January, according to information from NBA reporter Yaron Weitzman.
The first game of the Knicks next season will be on Oct. 22, Tuesday, against the reigning champions, Boston Celtics.
