Miami Heat legend Dwyane Wade and current star Bam Adebayo are working together to help the community while allowing fans to express their artistic side. They've partnered together to revamp a basketball half-court at Chapman Patrnership's North Shelter in Downtown Miami.

Fans will get the chance to have their design featured on the court through the In Your Court contest, which aims to foster community engagement.

For fans interested in joining, the first step will be creating a design for the court. The design should represent the passing of the torch between Wade and Adebayo, who are two separate generations of Heat basketball.

Secondly, the design should be posted on social media, Instagram to be more specific. In the post, the page BamBooksBrotherhood or @bbbfoundation should be tagged. Additionally, the inspiration behind the design should be part of the post.

Lastly, the entry post should have the hashtag #InYourCourt so Wade and Adebayo can see every design.

Wade and Adebayo didn't get to play alongside each other during their primes. When they had the chance to play together, Wade was past his prime and was on his way to retirement.

They were teammates during the 2017–18 campaign following Wade's trade from the Cleveland Cavaliers. At that time, the big man was in his sophomore season in the league. The season following that was their final year together as Wade called it quits.

Bam Adebayo wants to have a similar career to Dwyane Wade

Dwyane Wade's time in the NBA is memorable as he won at the highest level on multiple occasions. For Adebayo, that's how he wants his career to look like. The Heat center was interviewed in January by the Miami Herald, and he expressed his desire to have his career look similar to Wade's.

“It means everything,” Adebayo said in the interview in wanting to see his name at the Heat record books with Wade.

Luckily for Adebayo, Wade is an avid supporter of him. In April, the Hall of Famer named the star as the rightful successor of the Heat culture.

"Well, it’s definitely Bam. No doubt about it. He’s been molded. UD [Haslem] molded Bam to be the carrier," Wade said per the Miami Herald. "...So, as leaders of the culture, you want to know who’s going to be the next one, and so Bam has been talked about. UD did a great job of molding him, and we think he can carry the culture."

Wade is one of the most recognizable figures in Heat basketball. As for Adebayo, he's on the right track and on his way to becoming an icon of the organization.
