Miami Heat legend Dwyane Wade was one proud father after his daughter, Kaavia, performed before the Seattle Seahawks vs. LA Rams game on Sunday. Kaavia helped hype up the crowd along with other children and performers ahead of the final NFL Sunday of the regular season.
In a series of posts on his Instagram stories, Wade shared several clips of his daughter entertaining fans inside SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California. The family moved to the West Coast in 2021 after years of living in Florida.
Wade's wife, Gabrielle Union, was also a proud mother on the sidelines, snapping photos of her daughter’s performance. Kaavia is the youngest daughter of the NBA legend. He has a son and daughter with his ex-wife, and a son named Xavier with Aja Metoyer.

Dwyane Wade sets the standard high for his daughter Kaavia
Speaking to Parents.com back in 2023, Dwyane Wade and Gabrielle Union discussed being parents to four children. Wade revealed that he has set high standards for his daughter Kaavia, putting pressure on anyone who might end up dating her.
"This is my first time raising a little girl from this age as Zaya came to us older," Wade said. "I don't know what Kaav's going to choose for herself. But if she does choose a man, I want her to look at that man she chooses and say you have to measure up to my daddy. So, the bar will be set high."
Wade added that he will always be there for his children, just as his parents were for him when he was growing up in Chicago. He has his own parenting style, adapting to changes each generation brings and not getting stuck in outdated ways of thinking.
Kaavia James was only five months old when Dwyane Wade last played in the NBA
Dwyane Wade is considered one of the greatest players in NBA history. He was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2023 alongside other legends such as Dirk Nowitzki, Pau Gasol and Tony Parker.
Wade last played an NBA game on April 10, 2019, when Kaavia was still five months old. She is now six years old, so she never got to see him play at his peak with the Miami Heat.
"God didn’t give her to us until this moment, until this time, and it just was so fitting that I had an opportunity, in my career, with me carrying her," Wade told People Magazine before his final home game.
Wade later became a part-owner of the Utah Jazz, as well as the Chicago Sky.
