Miami Heat legend Dwyane Wade agreed with Damian Lillard's comments about the New York Knicks after Lillard's Bucks succumbed to the New Yorkers 116-94 Friday night. The star point guard was not in the best mood after this blowout loss and gave a backhanded compliment to the Knicks using the Big Three-era Miami Heat to explain his opponents were a good team and nothing else.

“They’re a good team. I mean, it ain’t like we went in there and played against the Heat when LeBron went there. They made some changes. They were a good team last year. They’re a good team this year,” Lillard told reporters in the locker room.

Dwyane Wade shared this post on his Instagram stories and expressed his agreement with Lillard's comment.

The LeBron James and Dwyane Wade-led Miami Heat went to the NBA Finals four consecutive years and won two championships in the process.

The Knicks added a couple of interesting pieces in recent years, starting with Jalen Brunson in the 2022 offseason and Karl-Anthony Towns and Mikal Bridges ahead of this campaign. They were considered a serious threat to the Boston Celtics in the Eastern Conference last season before the Indiana Pacers upset them in the second round of the playoffs.

The Knicks are once again expected to compete with the C's, but it seems like their supposed spot has been taken by the unbeaten Cleveland Cavaliers (11-0). Lillard and the Bucks, on the other side, are 2-7 and struggling to win in Doc Rivers' first full season with the team.

As for Dwyane Wade, he was given a bronze statue by the Miami Heat to confirm his status as the greatest player in franchise history.

Dwyane Wade explained how his team-up plan with LeBron James brewed

Earlier this week, Dwyane Wade joined 'The OGs' podcast to talk about a variety of topics, including his partnership with LeBron James and Chris Bosh. Wade recalled that he and James had talked about his free agency plans, explaining that James wanted to win collectively after earning plenty of silverware in Cleveland.

"I give credit to LeBron. He was at a period in his career where he wanted to see something different for himself," Wade said. "... We all were in seven years of our careers at that time, so we all had done some amazing individual things. I think he had two MVPs at the time. I already had my finals and my MVP."

After a rough first season when they melted down in their first trip to the Finals, they won the next two NBA titles before the San Antonio Spurs beat them in 2014 and ended the Heatles era.
