Adrian Wojnarowski infuriated Boston Celtics fans online after an on-air blunder on Saturday night following the Dallas Mavericks' Game 6 win over the OKC Thunder. Dallas joined the Celtics as the second team in the final four, but Wojnarowski said that they were the first to do so.
"They are now first team to the Western finals, first team to the final four in the NBA," Adrian Wojnarowski said on NBA Today show.
Wojnarowski didn't correct himself, and the brain-fade didn't sit well with several Celtics fans, who felt that the team is presumably "hated" by the NBA media. If that wasn't enough, the Celtics faithful now consider their favorite team "ignored" as one fan tweeted:
"The Media has gone from hating the Celtics to ignoring them."

Another criticized Adrian Wojnarowski's employers, saying:
"ESPN fell off so hard bro."
Meanwhile, another fan cited that as an ideal soundbite for a documentary in case the Celtics win the championship this year.
"It’s all gonna be included in the documentary," the fan wrote.
One fan cited the media's ignorance towards the Heat amid their historic 2023 finals run as an eighth seed.
"You can't really believe this. The disrespect the Heat got all last playoff run was on another level, teir, astroplane of disrespect than this small oversight by Woj."
One fan bragged about the Celtics winning their conference semis series before the other three teams.
"We wrapped up our series so long ago the talking heads can’t even remember that far back."
One user warned to clap back at the media if the Celtics win their record 18th title.
"I can’t wait to shut them up when we win 18."
Adrian Wojnarowski's colleague questions Boston Celtics chances against a healthy New York Knicks team
If the Adrian Wojnarowski slander didn't seem that big for many Celtics fans, a bold take from one of his colleagues at ESPN, Michael Wilbon, will. While talking about Boston's chances in a hypothetically tougher Eastern Conference path, Wilbon said that he would pick a healthy New York Knicks team to beat the Celtics.
"If the Knicks were fully healthy, I would take them to beat the Celtics. Who I can’t fully trust."
The Celtics' run thus far hasn't impressed many, as the Eastern Conference this season is viewed as weaker than in previous years. The Celtics haven't faced stiff competition in their first two rounds, taking on a Jimmy Butler-less Miami Heat team and the Cavaliers without Jarrett Allen for all five games and Donovan Mitchell for Games 4 and 5.
As clinical as Boston has looked, nobody has fully shown faith in it to make a championship run because of Jayson Tatum's up-and-down run and concerns over Kristaps Porzingis' health.
The Celtics remain the favorites to win the East. However, there are doubts over their chances of beating Denver, Dallas or Minnesota over a seven-game series in the penultimate round.
