Jimmy Butler's seven-game suspension comes with a hefty price tag, costing the Miami Heat forward $3.7 million in lost salary. Despite the serious nature of the suspension, an NBA free agent-turned-analyst managed to inject some humor into the situation.

Austin Rivers, a player with experience on team like the Houston Rockets and the Minnesota Timberwolves over the past five years, made a notable comment shortly after the Heat organization announced Butler's suspension:

"3.7 million in fines for 7 games!!!" said Rivers on X. "So this means big face coffee going to be 100k a cup lol."

Rivers is referring to Bigface, Butler's business brand that sells beverages, apparel, accessories and other lifestyle products. Bigface is best known for coffee, the product that Butler sold out of his hotel room when he was residing inside the 2020 "NBA bubble" during the pandemic.

Butler's personal brand with the Miami Heat, however, has all but run its course. For several weeks now, trade talks have overshadowed the six-time All-Star's hardcourt performance, which has declined in categories like scoring and three-point percentage.

The drama off the court reached a fever pitch when Butler talked about losing his passion for hoops after a 128-115 Heat loss to the Indiana Pacers — the second consecutive game in which he was benched during the fourth quarter:

A reporter then asked Butler if he could possibly regain his "joy" playing for the Heat. "Probably not," replied Butler with no hesitation.

Heat organization on a potential Jimmy Butler trade: "We will listen to offers"

Shortly after Christmas, Heat president Pat Riley announced that the team would not be trading Butler. The front office, however, appears to have changed its tune, given the disgruntled star's recent comments.

"Through his actions and statements, he has shown he no longer wants to be part of this team. Jimmy Butler and his representative have indicated that they wish to be traded, therefore, we will listen to offers," said the Heat organization in a tweet on Friday.

Since that trade request, Butler has been linked to a number of different teams. The Phoenix Suns are reportedly interested in him, and the Golden State Warriors could also make a move to pair him with Steph Curry.

Other teams that have been mentioned in Butler trade talks include the Sacramento Kings, Denver Nuggets and Dallas Mavericks. Therefore, it wouldn't be surprising to see Butler making a move to the Western Conference at the trade deadline.
