Newly signed Orlando Magic shooting guard Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and his wife McKenzie Caldwell-Pope recently announced they're expecting their fifth child. Ahead of her December due date, McKenzie posted an Instagram story highlighting the challenges of pregnancy.
McKenzie first revealed her fifth pregnancy in a June 14 IG post featuring her and Kentavious in a black and white photoshoot in Venice, Italy. She captioned the carousel, "Adding another chapter to our love story. Baby No. 5 coming December 2024."
Nearly seven weeks later, McKenzie touched on the hardships of pregnancy. In a Wednesday IG story, she shared journalist Simone Boyce's viral social media post likening pregnancy to training for and competing in the Olympics.

McKenzie concurred with the sentiment in her caption, noting that she is akin to a seasoned Olympic veteran.
"Five-time gold medalist, and it's not up for debate," McKenzie said.
McKenzie and Kentavious have been together since 2013, with the couple getting married in 2016. Their other four children are named Kenzo, Kentavious Jr, Kendrix and Kendall. Their youngest, Kendall, was born on Aug. 23 of last year.
Kentavious Caldwell-Pope's wife's due date for fifth child comes after veteran's biggest career payday
While raising five children should be challenging, fortunately for Kentavious and McKenzie Caldwell-Pope, the veteran shooting guard recently cashed in on a big-time payday.
"KCP" signed a three-year, $66 million contract with Orlando earlier this offseason, leaving the Denver Nuggets after two seasons. His average $22 million-per-year salary marks the highest of his career as he prepares for Year 12.
He joins an upstart Magic squad coming off a hard-fought seven-game first-round playoff loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers. During an appearance on "The Draymond Green Show" on July 24, the two-time NBA champion highlighted his excitement to help the franchise try to take the next step.
"I'm excited all around to be able to play with a young group of guys that's hungry, that's had a taste of the playoffs and took Cleveland to a Game 7," Caldwell-Pope said. "They know what it takes. Just talking to a few guys, their mindset is about winning. It's about winning basketball games and trying to get to that point of winning a championship."
So, between the October start date of his first season with Orlando and his wife's December due date, Caldwell-Pope has plenty to look forward to.
