Luka Doncic is set to make his LA Lakers debut on Monday as they face the Utah Jazz. It'll be their first game against the Jazz in back-to-back games this week. Doncic was traded to the Lakers on Feb. 1 for Anthony Davis in a shocking exchange.
While Dallas Mavericks fans are upset by the trade, Lakers fans are looking forward to the Slovenian star's debut. Even a massive company like Gatorade is ready for Doncic's first appearance donning the Purple and Gold. On Monday, Gatorade uploaded a video on X, formerly Twitter, showcasing the famous Hollywood sign. However, they replaced the two 'Ls' with the number 77.

Luka Doncic donates $500,000 to support recovery from wildfires in California
Luka Doncic is now living in the City of Angels, and it appears that he wanted to make an immediate impact in his new home. While Doncic was sidelined from his calf injury, the Slovenian star was already making an impact in LA off the court. Luka's foundation reportedly donated $500,000 to help the city recover from the wildfires that took place in early 2025.
"It's been so sad to see and learn more about the damage from the wildfires since I landed in LA," Doncic said in a statement. "I can't believe it and I feel for all the kids who lost their homes, schools and the places where they used to play with their friends."
Luka Doncic also said that he's willing to help rebuild new playgrounds and basketball courts for kids to play on.
