"F**k the Iman Shumpert part": Teyana Taylor fires back at Kayla Nicole over ‘crazy’ story of getting dumped on text

Iman Shumpert's former wife Teyana Taylor fired back at Shumpert's ex-girlfriend Kayla Nicole for taking a shot at her. The Hollywood actress and singer took to her social media and replied with a soliloquy, calling out her "distasteful" comments on her public platform.

In an episode of Angel Reese's podcast "Unapologetically Angel" earlier this week, Nicole revealed that she was dating a guy who dumped her through a text message. Although she didn't reveal the guy, Taylor made it clear that Nicole was talking about Iman Shumpert.

"We weren’t in relationship, but this is probably one of my favorite crazy Kayla stories," Nicole said. "I was dating a guy, and he dumped me through a text message, and he dumped me for this singer/actress, who was famous at that time."

The unnamed singer/ actress was Teyana Taylor. Nicole also said that once the relationship went public, the couple [Shumpert-Taylor] became a "celebrity iconic relationship" in the media.

The YouTuber later revealed that later that year, she dressed up as her ex's [Shumpert's] new girlfriend [Teyana Taylor] for Holloween.

Teyana Taylor, who is now separated from Shumpert after seven years of marriage, blasted Nicole for taking an indirect shot at her career. She also slammed the social media influencer for dragging her name into the controversy.

The Hollywood actress said that she was now divorced from Shumpert and she was happy. However, she took issue with Nicole saying: "She was famous at the time."

"It's really crazy that everyone is allowed to bother me & be distasteful... EVERYBODY gets to play.. while I move with grace. ALWAYS! But now I wanna have a lil sagittarius fun too and it's a problem?"

"F..k the iman part, I'm divorced and happily so, however her choice of words were very distasteful and uncalled for. She knew exactly what she was doing. That lady said "she was famous at the time" also said "idc who see it" it was very distasteful & uncalled for."

Taylor also added that when Nicole was dressed as her, she never thought that the YopuTuber was being shady.

"Crazy part about it all is, I actually showed love under her pic when she posted it...Whole time I ain't even know she was being shady. Now I do. So in that case petty panties on I had my lil fun I said what I said & now im done and headed back to set!"

Teyana Taylor was married to Iman Shumpert from 2016 to 2023. The former couple have two daughters, Iman "Junie" Tayla Shumpert Jr. and Rue Rose Shumpert.

Teyana Taylor fires back at Kayla Nicole with her busy 2025 schedule

As if Teyana Taylor was not done firing back at Kayla Nicole, she made another post on her social media about her busy 2025 schedule. Taking a dig at Nicole in an Instagram post on October 11, Taylor posted all the projects that she was involved in for the next year. She captioned the post:

"I know 2025 gone hate to see a Taylor coming!!"

There has been no reply from Kayla Nicole since the post. Before Shumpert, Nicole dated other celebrities like NFL star Travis Kelce, who is now dating pop star Taylor Swift.
