Bronny James was once again the talk of the town on Sunday as several fans reacted to Bronny's performance with the South Bay Lakers in the G-League.

The eldest son of LA Lakers star LeBron James had six points, seven assists, four rebounds, and six turnovers. He also shot 3-of-7 from the field and did not hit a single 3-pointer in three attempts.

Despite Bronny's contributions, the Lakers still won 120-104 against Osceola Magic. Many fans reacted quickly to Bronny's performance:

"Bro the King of triple singles," one fan declared.
"I thought he was bouncing back," another fan said.
"Imagine scoring less than 10 points in the G-league," a fan posted.

While others criticized the 20-year-old, several others also came to his defense.

"Let the kid develop in peace. He will be fine," one fan suggested.
"Had an all around game. Not horrible, bro had some nice assists from what I seen ngl," one X user commented.

A fan on X also likened Bronny's stats to a past quote from NBA big man Steven Adams, wherein Adams said that "he was just there for the ride." The user uploaded a photo of the quote with the caption:

"Bronny in the G-League."

Bronny's stat line can be likened to Golden State Warriors' Draymond Green's recent fumble. On Thursday, the Warriors suffered a brutal 51-point beating from the Memphis Grizzlies, 144-93.

In that game, Green played 19 minutes and recorded a steal, four turnovers, and four fouls. He did not score, rebound, or assist. With that, he set an NBA record with his plus-minus (-42). According to Basketball Reference, that performance is the worst plus-minus among players with zero points, rebounds, and assists.

Bronny James catches strays from fans as MrBeast visits USC

Bronny James caught a few strays from fans when popular Youtuber MrBeast seemingly practiced with the USC men's basketball team.

Some noted that the credibility of the program went out the door when they made Bronny an offer. A fan called the program "unserious" and called it the 'Bronny effect.'

"Most unserious CBB program since they gave Bronny an offer," one fan said.
"The bronny effect, right?" another fan said.
"Probably scored more than Bronny did last year," one user uttered.

Bronny played one season in USC before declaring for the NBA draft. He averaged 4.8 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 2.1 assists in 25 games. He shot 36.6% from the field and 26.7% on 3-pointers. He was drafted as the 55th overall pick in the 2024 by the Lakers.

LeBron and Bronny made history this year as the first father and son duo to play in the same NBA game together. LeBron had been vocal about wanting to play with his eldest—even declaring that he will do "whatever it takes" to make it happen.
